Ofsted visit - Tuesday 10th March and Wednesday 11th March 2020

Posted by: Josh Blakley on 09-03-2020

Dear Parents and Carers

Today I received a phone call from James Whiting, lead Ofsted inspector to inform me that the school will be inspected by Ofsted on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. The school is looking forward to the inspection and to showing the great work we do in our school.

I have also informed students today and they are looking forward to welcoming our visitors. The inspectors will visit lessons, speak to students about their work and meet with school leaders and staff. They may ask to meet with some students in small groups, to hear about their work in more depth and the students’ thoughts about the school. We will let these students know individually so they know where and when to meet the inspectors. Otherwise, the days will continue as normal and as always, we expect the highest standards in school in terms of uniform, attendance, punctuality, contributions to lessons and respect for each other and the surroundings.

Please find attached a letter from Ofsted with more details for parents. Ofsted also provide a guide for parents about inspections which can be found on our website. Please do take the time to fill out ofsted’s parentview survey, which can be found in the document attached or by following the link below:

Please can I take this opportunity to thank you all once again for your contributions to the school community. We will of course share the findings of the inspection in due course.

Kind regards

Tom Maltby

Headteacher
